Yiu Lian Dockyards
Yiu Lian Dockyards (Shekou) Limited has started its operation at the new yard at Mazhou Island close to Hong Kong. The yard which is specially designed for shiprepair and conversion works is one of the biggest shiprepairyards in China.
Yiu Lian Dockyards (Shekou) Limited can offer all kinds of repairs and has very high capacity when it comes to surface treatment and steelrenewal. The yard’s location which is less than one hour from Hong Kong (with fast ferry) is ideally located in sheltered waters and with temperatures that seldom drop below 12 degrees.
In addition to 2 ULCC/VLCC graving docks, one panamax and one handy size floating docks are available. Ca. 2500M wharf (max draft 13m) equipped with a big no. of cranes with lifting capacity up to 120 t. Repeat jobs for Norwegian Shipowners.

Yiu Lian Hong Kong has more than 50 years of experience and is the biggest ship Repair yard in Hong Kong having achieved about 90% of the market share for ship repair in Hong Kong for ocean-going vessels in recent years. Yard has a good reputation on the machine repairing, especially for CPP, tailshaft and Main Engine repairs.
Main focus on routine docking of the new vessels, such as first or second special survey docking complementary to our Yiu Lian Shekou yard. Price level is quite close to the shipyards in Mainland China. Providing competitive rates lower rate for dock hire and / or general services. ASL SINGAPORE
The ASL Marine Group provides comprehensive range of repair and conversion services including retro-fittings, life-extensions and repair of various types of vessels. The Group’s primary yard in Batam is one of the few yards in the region that can dock very large ships and vessels of even the aframax size and up to the capsize vessels. JOINT VENTURE EGIL BJØRN-HANSEN AS AND TITLESTAD & HAUGER A/S
The two companies behind NorShip Agencies AS have both a long and proud history. Titlestad & Hauger A/S was established in 1920 and has since then been serving mainly the Norwegian shipping community with shipyard agencies and technical products.
An important activity within the packing field as well as bunker agent for Mitsubishi was fisioned out as Tipak A/S. The 1990s saw a succesfull development of the business of particularly Astano in Ferrol, Spain. Svein Ivarson was employed with the company in earlier years and he became a partner in 1990 and is to day the sole owner of Titlestad & Hauger. Svein initiated Navire Cargo Gear, Norway and became managing director of MacGregor, Norway when the two companies merged.
Egil Bjørn-Hansen started his coalbunker agency company in 1933 and added shipyard representations the following year. Shipyards in Spain and the Far East became important agencies from the 1950s and 60s. Tore Bjørn-Hansen had work experience from Singapore, Spain and USA before joining Egil Bjørn-Hansen where he became sole owner in 1987. He has negotiated a number of ship and offshore conversions and is concentrating on this while serving as board member for NorShip Agencies.
In 2021 Per A Schøyen further strengthened our company by joining us. He has 30 years of broad sales & technical executive experience within the maritime industry from ship-owning, shipyards- and ship repair companies of which 11 years at Goltens, amongst other in executive positions in Dubai, Singapore and Oslo. He has also been stationed in Gdynia and Lagos and has a vast world-wide network and proven track record within newbuilds, repairs, conversions and project development.
We are in contact with all Norwegian shipowners and operators and have a systematic computer-based follow up system to secure enquiries for our principals. Our staff has long experience in the shiprepair field to ensure a professional and efficient follow up.
